The Trains appearing here are from an individual collection that began Pre War, and were collected until the late 1960's. Sometime in the late 60's the trains were packaged and stored. Before that time the trains were a main source of enjoyment, both for me and my father. The collection exhibits big enjoyment with dings and scratches, making it appear like the real railroad. Although in good shape, the collection has not been cleaned with one exception, the 2023 Diesel which is in rough shape outside, but still runs like a bandit. In fact, all the trains in this collection are in great mechanical shape.

In 1948 I was three years old. I guess that makes me about 55 now. It was in 1951-52 that I was given limited permission to play with this collection, and by 1955 the tracks at the Flowers household were abuzz.

The purpose of the web presentation is several fold. The primary purpose is the fun of it all. I love to create html, and I love the trains. It is still a pleasure to think about the trip I made in the fifties on an old steam powered locomotive with my mother, from Rome, Georgia to Atlanta, Georgia. When I hold that old Hudson in my hand, it reminds me of family.

Perhaps I would like to sell the entire collection, or maybe put in on display someplace. In any event, I am looking to make a little pocket change for my efforts. I would also like to continue creating web presence on the subject of Lionel® Trains. Photography is just another of those pet projects that I enjoy.

The prices which appear are a simple reflection of the research into the value of this collection, and not asking prices. I do not wish to sell individual pieces, but the entire collection, or I would contract with individuals who might like to have this collection in a secure display for promotion or any other reasonable consequence.
